About The Viewing Room

The Viewing Room is an independent space where I about movies, television, books, and video games with care and intention.

I created this site because I enjoy spending time with stories and thinking about how they work. Not just whether something is good or bad, but why it feels the way it does. What holds together. What falls apart. What lingers after it’s over.

My approach to reviewing is reflective rather than reactive. I focus on narrative, structure, tone, pacing, and overall experience across different mediums. Sometimes that means writing in-depth, and other times it means offering a quieter reflection or revisiting something that stayed with me longer than expected.

I don’t aim to rank or persuade. The goal isn’t to tell anyone what to like, but to be honest and clear about my own experience, and to offer perspective for readers deciding what they might want to watch, read, or play next.

The Viewing Room is meant to feel calm and considered. A place for thoughtful critique, curiosity, and taking stories seriously without taking them too literally.

Thoughtful reviews across screen, page, and play.
